Johnny and Mary Lyrics

Johnnys always runnin' around
Tryin' to find certainty
He needs all the world to confirm
That he aint lonelyMary counts the walls
Knows he tires easilyJohnny thinks the world would be right
If it could buy the truth from him
Mary says
"He changes his mind more than a woman"
But she made her bed
Even when the chance was slimJohnny says, "Hes willing to learn
When he decides, hes a fool"
Johnny says' "Hell live anywhere
When he earns to time"Mary combs her hair
Says, "She should be used to it"Mary always hedges her bets
She never knows what to think
She says that he still acts
Like he is bein' discovered
Scared that hell be caught

Without a second thought runnin' aroundJohnny feels hes wasting his breath
Tryin' to talk sense to her
Mary says, "Hes lackin' a real
Sense of proportion"So she combs her hair
Knows he tires easilyJohnnys always runnin' around
Tryin' to find certainty
He needs all the world to confirm
That he aint lonely
Mary counts the walls
Says, "She should be used to it"Johnnys always runnin' around
Runnin' around

British guitarist Martin Taylor is one of the most highly regarded guitarists in the world. Specialising in jazz, he has performed in groups, guitar ensembles and as an accompanist to many of the world’s most famous musicians. However, it is for his remarkable solo fingerstyle performances, in which he provides bass and chordal accompaniment in addition to a melody, that he is most renowned. Taylor was born in Harlow, Essex in 1956 into a family with a musical heritage and a gypsy/traveller tradition, although he did not strictly lead the traditional gypsy lifestyle.
