Ray Charles and The Count Basie Orchestra appeared together in the 2006 album Ray Sings, Basie Swings, 22 years after Count Basie's death and 2 years after Ray Charles'. Producers put together some Ray's 70s vocals and The Basie Orchestra's newly recorded backings. Ray Charles and Count Basie never collaborated in life.
