The Pirates of Visby - sometimes referred to as the Vitalie Brotherhood of Mecklenburg - first set foot on the soil of Visby in 1394. The group Visbypirater (Swedish for the Pirates of Visby) is a testament to the glorious ambitions of debauchery and excessive rum consumption of the original 14th century pirates.
