Kathleen Lyrics

If I don't laugh, I'll cry
At all the years going by
Why is it so hard
To say your name tonightThis little room we called home
These things I thought that we owned
And our small piece of the skyOh, where did you go?
Where did you go?Oh Kathleen
All of the stars in the sky
Went out one by one, the day you said goodbye
I still can see your faceKathleen all of this got in our way
And left us always waiting for the day
When things were gonna change
And life would re-arrange for usOh Kathleen
You're still the same to meWhere was that place in the sun
We used to chase then would run from it
Well since you're gone I'm done
With it for goodOh, where did you go?
Where did you go?Oh Kathleen

All of the stars in the sky
Went out one by one the day you said goodbye
I still can see your faceKathleen all of this got in our way
And left us always waiting for the day
When things were gonna change
And life would re-arrange for usOh Kathleen, oh Kathleen
Oh Kathleen, oh Kathleen, oh Kathleen

Born Erin Moran, in New Jersey, USA, she began her musical career singing backing vocals and playing keyboards for singer/songwriter Francis Dunnery and got the chance to tour Great Britain. In 1999, she teamed with DJ Sae One under the name Leomoon, and they released one self-titled electro-folk album. In 2001, she issued her debut EP, Tears All Over Town on Le Grand Magistery. A chance meeting with Richard Hawley (Pulp, Longpigs) led her to start recording what would become her proper first album. The album simply called A Girl Called Eddy subsequently appeared on Anti in August 2004.
