Kentucky Waltz Lyrics

We were waltzin' that night in Kentucky
'Neath the beautiful harvest moon
And I was the boy that was lucky
But it all ended too soonAs I sit here alone in the moonlight
I see your smiling face
And I long once more for your embrace
In that beautiful Kentucky waltzWe were waltzin' that night in Kentucky
Beneath that beautiful harvest moon
And I was the boy that was lucky
But it all ended too soonAs I sit here alone in the moonlight
I see your smiling face
And I long once more for your embrace
In that beautiful Kentucky waltz

Bud Isaac was a pioneer of the pedal steel guitar, recording instrumental vintage country music that encompassed boogies, waltzes, and indescribably lovely slow tunes for RCA records in the 1950s. His technique and phrasing were second to none, and some of his solos even contain avant-garde motifs within them.
