Kereshmeh - Hassan Tabar

Born in Ghazvin, Iran, Hassan Tabar acquired a sound knowledge in the vocal art of Iranian classical music repertoire (called radif) with Khorram-E- Ghazvini. He then started studying the santoor at the Tehran Centre for the Protection and Diffusion of Music with Mas'ud Shenâssâ. In 1982 he started teaching santoor. Having settled in France in 1985, he continues teaching there, and also performing in all of Europe.
