Kick It Lyrics

1) see a man jumping inwith both feet and his eyes closedsee a dog chasing his tail
in a never ending circle see yourself in the mirror
is what you see what you get?see me is it realityor someone you never met2) sometimes i'll feelit's taking me nowheresometimes i feel my actions are not minesometimes i feel it's taking me nowheresometimes i'm taken by madness divine
3) if only you could know my secret lifethe things that i hide with my lying eyes
your trust that i breach with my every stridethe depths that i reach when i fall insideand when i'm on my knees i'd do anything, anything
just to kick it, kick it, kick iti'd do anything, anything
just to kick it, kick it, kick itsee a man running away
from what there is no escape fromhis face from the undeniable truth
see a man hidingsee yourself in the mirror
are you looking for mercy?see the thing isthat ain't me, that ain't me that ain't me, that ain't me that ain't me, that ain't me no that ain't me, that ain't me that ain't me, no that ain't me, that ain't me that ain't me, no that ain't me, that ain't me that ain't me, noif only you could know my secret lifethe things that i hide with my lying eyes
your trust that i breach with my every stridethe depths that i reach when i fall insidejust to kick it, kick it, kick it
and when i'm on my knees i'd do anything, anything
i'd do anything, anythingjust to kick it, kick it, kick it(repeat 1, 2 & 3)

Formed in Chelmsford when main protagonists Douglas McCarthy (vocals) and Bon Harris (drums, programming) were just 15, Nitzer Ebb cut a dynamic swathe through the electronic music and Balaeric beat scenes of the 1980s and 90s. They were electro-punks before the genre even existed, at a time when The Prodigy were not even a gleam in fellow Essex boy Liam Howlett's eye. Militaristic, intimidating yet always accessible, Nitzer Ebb enjoyed a string of ferocious club hits and released five critically acclaimed albums on Mute.
