Komrade Kiev Lyrics

I watch the papers everyday
They drink the same cup of tea
I read the TV everyday
They deal the same cards for me
I turn my head now to the left
See the Marx upon your face
Turn my head now to the right
See the darkness of your light
Didn't see the flag you raised
Through the glory that we praised
There's a child that stands amazed
At the craziness we've paved
And the sun will shine through wintertime
I pray the rain will someday end the flame

Shoot Komrade Kiev
Oh, that's what they say to me
Shoot Komrade Kiev, oh
Shoot Komrade Kiev
Oh, that's what they're telling me
Shoot Komrade Kiev, oh
And through the pride and prejudice
You blind the truth, you couldn't miss
For the target you have drawn
Won't bite the hand that cuts the arm
And when the story's finally told
Each man's heart was bought and sold
There was no enemy you see
Only the doubt in you and me
I know the sun will shine through wintertime
I pray the rain will someday end the flame
Shoot Komrade Kiev
Oh, that's what they say to me
Shoot Komrade Kiev, oh
Shoot Komrade Kiev
Oh, that's what they're telling me
Shoot Komrade Kiev, oh
I've walked through Mother Russia
In the cold of wintertime
And I've seen every mountain
That each man wants to climb
But I know
Farewell to arms
That one day the sun will shine
Shoot Komrade Kiev
Shoot Komrade Kiev
Shoot Komrade Kiev, oh
Shoot Komrade Kiev, oh
Shoot Komrade Kiev
Oh, that's what they say to me
Shoot Komrade Kiev, oh
Shoot Komrade Kiev
Oh, that's what they're telling me
Shoot Komrade Kiev

Corey Mitchell Hart (born 31 May 1962, in Montreal, Canada) is a Canadian musician.

Hart became an instant hit with his rebellious looks, and his first album released in 1983 First Offense, featuring the hit song Sunglasses At Night. The album sold well in both Canada and the United States. The follow-up album was Boy in the Box in 1985, another very successful album featuring the song Never Surrender, which would be his highest-charting single. Hart would continue to record music, but his commercial success was significantly reduced after Box.

Today, Hart lives in the Bahamas with his wife, musician Julie Masse, and their four children.
