Language of Leaves - Atlas and the Astronaut

Atlas and the Astronaut is a four-piece from Vancouver, WA. Established in 2011, Atlas and the Astronaut has played numerous shows around the Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR area. In July 2012, they released their first self-produced and self-titled EP after many months of tireless recording and mixing.

In the wake of their former band, guitarist Matt LeMieux, bassist Casey Aspengren, and drummer Lucas Goughnour continued to play music together. Vocalist Beau Rosser was added a few months later to round out the four-piece.

Atlas and the Astronaut is currently signed to DRD Records—a local indie label in Portland, OR. They are playing at venues, bars, and house shows in the Portland area, as well as writing new material for their upcoming full length album, Tiny Artifacts. Their self-produced, recorded, and released EP can be bought online or at a show.
