Learn How to Live Lyrics

You got a lot to learn
You play in the fire
You might get burned
You gotta sacrificeYou're playin' the victim
Of your own device
You try to understand
The comb in the ashes
Isn't what you plannedYou, it gets you every time
You're chasin' the visions
They're nowhere to findLearn how to give
Learn how to take
Learn how to live
Before it's too lateYou got the restless eyes
They turn to distraction
There's no compromise
You gotta take some timeAnd fight for the answers
They're hard to find
You now don'tcha fantasize

Start makin' your chances materializeLearn how to bend, learn how to break
Learn how to mend broken heartaches
Learn to forgive, learn how to wait
Learn how to live before it's too lateRun from the light
And you lock all your doors
It's harder to fight
When you've gone down beforeThe scene's 're so right
But they play out so wrong
So into the night it goes on
And on and on and on and on

Billy Squier (born May 12, 1950, in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts) is a rock musician. Squier had a string of arena rock and power ballad hits in the 1980s. He is probably best known for the song "The Stroke" on his 1981 album release Don't Say No, which has been certified as Triple-Platinum by the RIAA. Other hits include "Lonely Is The Night", "Everybody Wants You", "Rock Me Tonite" and "In The Dark". Squier left the music industry in the mid-1990s, due in part to issues with his label. He has been active in the 2000s, touring both as a single artist and as a member of the 'Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band'. Before fronting the band titled in his name, Squire was the frontman of the power pop group Piper.
