Let Go Lyrics

In a room filled with dried tears of sorrow
And you come in and lay down by my side
Will you feel the same way tomorrow?
'Cause you smile just as easy as you cryWas it wrong to be good to you?
Was it wrong to be your man?
'Cause I ain't getting through to you
And I've done all I can to make you understandAnd my heart just keeps on bleeding
From the hole that drains my soul
And if I can't kill the feeling now
How do I, oh, I let go?Time only heals when it wants to
I guess that's why
I just can't get you off of my mindYeah, when the walls come down between us
Will you be on the other side?
If you say you didn't need it
I will let you right back in for the rest of my lifeOnly you can stop the bleeding
From the hole that drains my soul
And if you can't kill the feeling now
How do I, oh, I let go, let go?Yeah, and my heart just keeps on bleeding

From the hole that drains my soul
And if I can't kill the feeling now
How do I?Only you can stop the bleeding
From the hole that drains my soul
And if you can't kill the feeling now
How do I, oh, I let go, let go?

Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his group exploded on the scene in the mid-'90s and garnered huge amounts of radio airplay on commercial radio, which historically has not been a solid home for blues and blues-rock music, with the exception of Stevie Ray Vaughan in the mid-'80s. Shepherd was born June 12, 1977, in Shreveport, LA. The Shreveport native began playing at age seven, figuring out Muddy Waters licks from his father's record collection (he has never taken a formal lesson).
