Hailing from Forth Worth, Texas (later a Los Angeles transplant), Hodges is an emerging singer/songwriter who has found a musical home amongst those who try and tell a story through song. Fellow songwriter Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty recognized this when he recently signed Hodges to his RTel imprint on Epic Records. "My influences are really the artists who know how to take the universal themes of songwriting and make them their own.” It’s this self proclaimed ethos that inspires Hodges to write timeless songs that make their mark on all genres of music.
