Like I've Never Been Gone Lyrics

I'll see you baby, when the ice has broken
When the rain stops falling down
I'll be waiting for you, baby when your time has come
And your face no longer frownsI caught a taste of springtime on your lips
I saw the sunlight in your eyesI wake to find you smiling with the dawn
Just reminders of the time
I feel your breath, I look around but you're gone
I see the place where you were lyingI caught a taste of springtime on your lips
I see the sunlight in your eyesIt's been so long, it's been so long
So long, since you've been gone
I look away, I can see that you're gone
I guess I'm standing here aloneAcross the sea, I see the bluebirds on high
In the wildest places too
Above the ground the wind is calling out to me
Oh, lead me back to youI caught a taste of springtime on your lips
I can still see the sunlight in your eyes, in your eyesIt's been so long, it's been so long
So long, since you've been gone
I look away, I can see that you're gone

I guess I'm standing here aloneWell, I'll see you baby, when the ice has broken
When the rain stops falling down
I'll be waiting for you, baby when your time has come
And your face no longer frownsAnd I caught a taste of springtime on your lips
I saw the sunlight in your eyesOh oh
Yes, I can, I can, I can
Yeah, I can see, I can see
I can see that true, yes, oh babyJust like, just like I've never been gone
It's just like, just like I've never been gone
Babe, just like I've never been gone

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
