Like Nobody Else Lyrics

September seventh and she's heading for school
She'll probably leave me for some college fool
And I know that's just the way it goesIn funny old place under the street light
Face to face here on our last night
You should know one thing before you goI tell her, we've gone too far to give up now
And like a bomb, it all comes out
I like the way thatShe looks at me like nobody else
Like nobody's ever done
And she makes me feel like nobody else
Like nobody's ever doneBy the twenty seventh she's been gone for weeks
I'm terrified she won't remember me
And I know that's just the way it goesI stare at her picture, stuck up on the fridge
Face to face with the one I miss
I'm alone and reaching for the phoneTo tell her, we've gone too far to give up now
And like a bomb, it all comes out
I like the way thatShe looks at me like nobody else
Like nobody's ever done
And she makes me feel like nobody else

Like nobody's ever doneAnd I wanna make her feel like nobody else
Like nobody's ever done
And I wanna make her feel like nobody else
Like nobody's ever doneBack from the city standing in the rain
Asked if she'd be going back again
She said no, this time I'm staying homeShe looks at me like nobody else
Like nobody's ever done
And she makes me feel like nobody else
Like nobody's ever doneAnd I wanna make her feel like nobody else
Like nobody's ever done
And I wanna make her feel like nobody else
Like nobody's ever doneLike nobody I
Like nobody I
Love somebody like
Like nobody elseLike nobody I
Like nobody I
Love somebody like
Like nobody else

Lord Sitar was the alias for renowned session musician and guitar virtuoso Big Jim Sullivan who, in 1966/67, found himself in the enviable position of being the only established session guitarist in England to own a sitar. By 1967, that attribute had turned him into a valuable commodity, mostly because of the instrument's being popularized by George Harrison of The Beatles and Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones on various of their respective groups' recordings.
