Like That Lyrics

Wow, we in stereo
Question for the ages
What's goin' on with my rap pages?
Rappers wanna be down, but listen, listen
You got to feel it within your body and your spirit
When you listen to the rhythm, come on
It's the abstract, Will is on the beat
Women all around the globe, the world
You got to follow me
Change your history, categories
Different people in the same territories
Hip-hop in here for my Black Eyed Peas
So watch it, watch it be mindful of the speakers please
'Cause they gonna rumble and shake the ground
Break atoms breakin' sound
Fill the embraceful pound
Treat all the things profound
If you wanna dude to help you out

Make it cool around your friends without smokin' now
Play the song kinda loud, it could help you out
And you could work it out, yeah you could work it out
It's like that, and a
And we got it like that, like that
You know we got it like that, like that
Y'all we got it like that, like that
It's like that, like that, like that
Y'all we got it like that, like that
You know we got it like that, like that
Yeah, we got it like that, like that
It's like that because I got it like that
And I got it like that also
Got a style, that's way out like Bosto
You know I'm known to cook a nigga like charcoal
Steady droppin' rounds like it's heavy cargo
Can I kick? Yup, really far though
From El Segundo to Toronto
I once hit a girl up in Chicago
But I'd never say ho unless my name was Tonto
Yup, you know how the date rape though
Kobe showed a classic example
Now they know the Peas collect the dough
So they knockin' on our door like we was Fargo
Yup, they see me in a Will.I.Am suit
But I wasn't that cute when I didn't have the loot
And I don't smoke herbs
But I'm still real nice with the verbs
So fuck what you heard
'Coz we got it like that, like that
You know we got it like that, like that
Y'all we got it like that, like that
It's like that, like that, like that
Y'all we got it like that, like that
You know we got it like that, like that
Yeah, we got it like that, like that
Talib, just hit ’em like that
Yeah, I'm from the jungle, brother
And I got it like that
Yo, my life got me runnin'
Through a maze like a white rat
I need a shot of Remy
Like my rap
It's like the yack is the fights
That got me spillin' on the right track
And I like this, Will so I might get ill
On the mic somebody might get killed
So many damn rappers there's a stifle in heaven
My tongue is a weapon
And plus when I bust, it's the stuff of legend
When this Brooklyn MC come after you
You'll be runnin' like a herd of caribou down Myrtle Avenue
Where we at ain't nothin' pretty, that's the attitude
To be at Fight Club, even Brad had to crack a tooth
Stare into the sun, they try to copy
Let your eyes get used to the light because you gotta watch me
Sneak up on you like saki, my lyrics get out of a split atom
Like Hiroshima and Nagasaki
It's the Apl with the ab in the lab with the rap
Demonstrate how we act, we attack any track
It's the Black Eyed Peas and we back with the facts
Start with the fast skills that rose in the pack
We got it like how you know how the beast rocks
Entertain you, see you soon at the next spot
The crew got you bouncin' and droppin' your eye
Makin' you naha ehshabisha e mat
Tss tsss tsss, I'ma roll with the hot
I'ma flow from the soul when you can't hold me back
Ke-ke-keep on keep on rollin' the track
I'm a simply, simply always attach
Jeepney Music by Apl.De.Ap
From L.A. to Philippines we bridgin' the gap
We got it like that, you know we got it like that
We got like, like we got it, like that y'all
So sweet, it's like that
Yeah, we got it like that, it's like that
You know you know we had it like that, it's like that
It's like that, like that, it's like that
Yeah, we got it like that, it's like that
Yeah, we got it like that, it's like that
You know we got it like that, it's like that
It's like that 'cause we got it like

The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip hop/pop group formed in Los Angeles in 1995. The group is currently composed of will.i.am, Taboo, Fergie and Apl.de.ap. Since their breakout album Elephunk in 2003, they have seen international fame for their pop/dance-oriented style of hip hop music. Black Eyed Peas have so-far sold an estimated 56 million albums and singles to date worldwide, and still counting.

Black Eyed Peas went to centenary state high school and got their start in 1988 when will.i.am (born 1975 William James Adams Jr.) and apl.de.ap (born 1974 Allan Pineda) began rapping and performing together around Los Angeles. The pair signed to Ruthless Records (run by Eazy-E) after catching the attention of the nephew of Jerry Heller (Eazy-E's manager). Along with Mookie Mook (Burning Star), Dante Santiago & DJ Motiv8, they called their group A.T.B.A.N. Klann. Their debut album, Grass Roots, was not released originally because Ruthless did not consider the social themes reflected in the group's music to be marketable to their audience. A single "Puddles of H2O" was released in 1994 but no album was released until it leaked onto the Internet in the mid 2000s.

After Eazy-E died of AIDS in 1995, They changed their name to Black Eyed Peas; will.i.am explained on the front cover of the Monkey Business album that "Black Eyed Peas are food for the soul", hence the name. will.i.am has cited the Red Hot Chili Peppers as an influence and said he named his band after a food, like them. They replaced their original third member Mookie, with Dante Santiago the Peas original singer. Then Taboo (born Jaime Gomez) joined the group. Dante Santiago took on a role as a guest vocalist in the band and featured frequently on various tracks for their first four albums.

In 1996, they produced and appeared on a song entitled "That's Right" for Brian Austin Green's hip-hop album One Stop Carnival. Later, they began using Kim Hill as a steady background singer. Unlike many hip-hop acts, they chose to perform with a live band and adopted a musical and clothing style that differed wildly from the "gangsta rap" sounds of other Los Angeles-based hip-hop acts at the time. Through the mid-'90s, they performed in the local club circuit alongside fellow acts such as Ozomatli and Jurassic 5.

The group were signed to Interscope Records and released their debut, "Behind the Front", in 1998. The album won the group (and their accompanying live band, the Bucky Jonsons) critical acclaim. The album featured the single "Joints & Jams", which was included on the Bulworth soundtrack. Their second album, "Bridging the Gap", was released in 2000; it featured the single "Request + Line" featuring Macy Gray.

After replacing their female background singer with Fergie, the group released their breakout album, "Elephunk", and their 2005 album, "Monkey Business", which featured the hit singles "Pump It", "Don't Phunk With My Heart", "Don't Lie" and "My Humps".

"The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies)", their fifth album, was released worldwide in June 2009 and has managed to sell 5 million copies in 8 months (Elephunk: 7 million, Monkey Business: 10 million). It already spawned 2 of the most downloaded singles of all time: "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling", both were downloaded 5 million times only in the USA. The 3rd single "Meet Me Halfway" was downloaded 2 million times and the 4th "Imma Be", which was just released, already sold 1 million. "Rock That Body" is the 5th single.
