When Matt graduated from college, he moved from Ohio to California on his bicycle without a cell phone, credit card, and only six hundred dollars and a guitar.

Matt has since moved into a 1970 VW Bus to tour and spread the possibilities of a life without barriers.

Down The Road is Matt's first studio LP with his backing band, the Caravan. The album evokes the feel of the early 70s singer/songwriter in the vein of Van Morrison and early Bruce Springsteen, complete with brass and keys. Simultaneously, the honest and straightforward lyrics are blended with the pop acoustic undertones of Jack Johnson.
