Live Free (2015 Remastered) Lyrics

Looking for the right kind
Live free or dieI want to see your smile through a pay phone
Season has changed
I want to see you in it
Lights that shine are caustic without youWhen we're all passed over
The rhythm of the river will remain
It will, it will remainNicotine and waiting
Just wanted to keep it alive
You turn and 'fore you know it
We're just threading this needle for lifeA brighter way is what you've proved
Anesthetize is what you do
Someday we'll be together
Farther south than the train lineThe Delta mud will be there
We're just livin' this way 'cause we've known no otherWhen we're all passed over
The rhythm of the river will remain
It will, it will remainLooking for the right kind
Live free or die

Son Volt is an alternative country group which formed in 1994 in St. Louis, Missouri. The band currently consists of Jay Farrar (vocals, guitar), Chris Masterson (guitar), Andrew Duplantis (bass, vocals), Mark Spencer (keyboards) and Dave Bryson (drums). Farrar is the only original member remaining in the band. Son Volt formed after the breakup of the band Uncle Tupelo, owing to the simmering creative differences between songwriters Farrar and Jeff Tweedy. The group's members lived in Minneapolis, St Louis, and New Orleans at the time.
