Local Spotlight ft. Young Ra - DJ Young Mase

Detroit’s mixtape scene has always struggled to reach its full potential. But this years Detroit Hip-Hop Awards celebrated the birth of a new generation of Mixtape DJ’s. DJ Young Mase aka “Mr. Detroit City” was awarded the 2007 “Mixtape DJ Of The Year” trophy this summer. While only producing 3 mixtapes in 2005, Young Mase delivered over 40 different mixtapes in 2006. Mase has just taken one smaller step closer to becoming the next international Mixtape DJ.
