Longshot Lyrics

You made the call
I step outside, cross that line
And I lose control
'Cause Ive been waitingIts beautiful to let go, dont you know
You're everything I try to be
The rise and fall to respond to the call
I got butterfliesYou're all I have
So break me down
You're all I am
And nothing else mattersThis is a longshot
Its all I have
Im ready to step it up
And all I need is your handAnd this is a long shot
It's who I am
I'm ready to take off
All I need is a planIm calling out
Take me, make me
Im finding out

That you are my reasonIts beautiful to let go, dont you know
You're everything I try to be
The rise and fall to respond to the call
I sing a new songYou're all I have
So break me down
You're all I am
But nothing else mattersYou're all I have
So break me down
You're all I am
And nothing else mattersThis is a longshot
Its all I have
Im ready to step it up
And all I need is your handThis is a longshot
It's who I am
I'm ready to take off
And all I need is a planYou're all I have
You're all I have
You're all I have
YeahYou're the plan
YeahThis is a longshot
It's all I have
I'm ready to step it up
And all I need is your handAnd this is a longshot
It's who I am
I'm ready to take off
All I need is a planThis is a longshot
This is the longest shot
I'm barely moving
You keep me breathingThis is a longshot
This is the longest shot
'Cause I'm barely moving
You keep me breathingThis is a longshot
It's all I have
I'm ready to step it up
And all I need is your handThis is a longshot
It's who I am
I'm ready to take off
All I need is a plan

Waking Ashland was formed in November 2003 by singer/keyboardist Jonathan Jones, guitarist Ryan Lallier and drummer Thomas Lee, all of which were at that time music majors at California State University, Northridge. Robert Teegarden — a friend of the band — temporarily helped out to fill the vacant position on the bass guitar. Their band name stems from the aspect of connecting people through music, paired with a reference to the town of Ashland, Oregon.
