Looking For A Reason Lyrics

Looking for to make some sense out of nothin'
Looking for the hunger to hang on
Looking for to know if you're really worth it
Looking for a reason not to be gone
Your signs are fadin', baby
I can't read 'em anymore
Can't you see where I'm standin', baby
I got one foot out the door
You better show me somethin' fast
'Cause my patience for you it ain't gonna last
Looking for to make some sense out of nothin'
Looking for the hunger to hang on
Looking for to know if you're really worth it
Looking for a reason not to be gone
If there ain't nothin' there
Well, that's my time your wastin'
If you say you give it all you've got
Well, that's my chain you're yankin'

Love is on a slippery slope
Barely hangin' on at the end of my rope
Looking for to make some sense out of nothin'
Looking for the hunger to hang on
Looking for to know if you're really worth it
Looking for a reason not to be gone
So tell me what you're gonna do to keep me around
And baby, whatever it is you better do it now, now, now
Looking for to make some sense out of nothin'
Looking for the hunger to hang on
Looking for to know if you're really worth it
Looking for a reason not to be
Looking for to make some sense out of nothin'
Looking for the hunger to hang on
Looking for to know if you're really worth it
Looking for a reason not to be gone
Not to be gone, not to be gone, not to be gone

Paul Stride started playing the drums at the age of 8, and then later taught himself to play the keys. While he had some formal musical training later in his teens, he remained a musician who preferred playing by ‘ear’, and writing his own songs rather than playing others. Dabbling a little in writing and recording venue’s in the late 80’s and early 90’s, he found himself ignoring his musicianship for a corporate career.
