Lose Yourself Lyrics

Attracted to a girl that's quite like you
That's quite like...
"I dunno..."
"Hold on."
You stand there with your long black hair
Looking so fresh with your Savoir Faire
You've got the coolest friends
They're up to date with the latest trends
Independent in your own world
Rock the life girl, rock the life girl
The DJ starts to play underground hits from what's-their-name?
You're looking kind of anxious with your back up against the wall
(With your back up against the wall, with your back up against the wall)
Don't this kind of music make you want to move at all?
(So watcha gonna do? Watcha gonna - gonna do?)
[Chorus]:
Don't you walk away from me
Cause I got to get you next to me

If you've got game girl step to me
Just lose them friends and Dance with me
Dance next to me, dance next to me
Oh please oh please oh can't you see?
That I got to get you baby
To lose yourself in me
I must say that you captivate
In so many ways that I can't relate
But I want to be your latest thing
For you girl, I'd do anything
I've never been attracted to a girl that's quite like you
(A girl that's quite like you, a girl that's quite like you)
We've got more in common than you think
You make me move
"I dunno."
"Say what?"
[Chorus](To lose yourself)
Yourself in me
(To lose yourself)
Yourself in me
(To lose yourself)
Yourself in me
(To lose yourself)
Yourself in me
(Lose yourself, lose yourself
Just lose yourself, lose yourself)
[Chorus]

"There's a delicate balance between the intertwining worlds of artistry, entertainment and humor, but for dance-derived rockers Family Force 5, it's an ecstatic equilibrium that remarkably illustrates all three elements. With tongue firmly planted in cheek, the Atlanta-based five-some are just as likely to get the party started as they are to escort audiences into an alternate reality. Even so, the band never compromises album creativity, while simultaneously hearkening back to the days of massive spectacles on tour.

The group's sophomore release, Dance Or Die, oozes with over-the-top illustrations, charging out of the gate with funky rhythms, percolating club grooves, undeniably infectious hooks and instantaneous sing-a-longs. Imagine an inventive evolution of the band's eye-opening debut, Business Up Front, Party in the Back, blended with Prince getting down at a Daft Punk concert where Michael Jackson busts out the moonwalk in the center of the dance floor."

As Christians, at the root of their music, Family Force 5 believes that they can reach a whole new spectrum of listeners by infusing high-energy tunes with party-time themes and a creative scramble of lyrics that point to their faith. "We want to make music that is for God, but at the same time, we want to make music that people enjoy and that they're not turned off by," states Solomon Old, lead singer.
