Love Generation Lyrics

From Jamaica to the world
It's just love, it's just love, yeahWhy must our children play in the streets?
Broken hearts and faded dreams
Peace and love to everyone that you meet
Don't you worry, it could be so sweetJust look to the rainbow, you will see
Sun will shine till eternity
I've got so much love in my heart
No one can tear it apart, yeahFeel the love generation
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Feel the love generation
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, yeahFeel the love generation
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Feel the love generation
Ooh, yeah, yeahDon't worry about a thing
It's gonna be alright
Don't worry about a thing
It's gonna be alrightDon't worry about a thing
It's gonna be alright

Gonna be, gonna, gonna, gonna be alrightWhy must our children play in the streets?
Broken hearts and faded dreams
Peace and love to everyone that you meet
Don't you worry, it could be so sweetJust look to the rainbow, you will see
Sun will shine till eternity
I've got so much love in my heart
No one can tear it apart, yeah

Hyaa! were arguably the finest indie-rock band to come out of Washington, D.C. in the Eighties. Alice Despard's smoky voice and unusual guitar style (full of drones and alternate tunings) gave the band a lush, exotic sound not usually associated with the genre, while Les Doerfler's bass and Alex Deseabra's drums provided a solid foundation. Their 1987 album Get Your Hyaa-Hyaa's Out! (the title was meant as a pronunciation aid), produced by Mitch Easter, has never been reissued on CD.
