Lucky Seven Lyrics

(Verse)
I ain't never been prison
But I probably should've gone
'Cause I broke the law 12 dozen times
But I never did get caught
I'm a different kind of daredevil
Than alot of folks I know
But I still walk the tight rope with no net down below
(Chorus)
Hey I'm lucky as a seven
I dance to my own tune
I may not get to heaven Lord
For the wicked things I do
If you want to walk in my boots
And take all that I took
It ain't as easy as it looks
(Verse)
Life ain't always simple

Some things you can't explain
If you quit that's what you get
'Cause you couldn't take a pain
I ain't never had it easy
That's just the way it is
But if circumstance opened up the chance
I'd do it all again
(Chorus)
Hey I'm lucky as a seven
I dance to my own tune
I may not get to heaven Lord
For the wicked things I do
If you want to walk in my boots
And take all that I took
It ain't as easy as it looks
(Bridge)
Ain't no place to turn around
If I scream don't come unwound
(Chorus)
Hey I'm lucky as a seven
I dance the mountain
I may not get to heaven Lord
For the wicked things I do
If you want to walk in my boots
And take all what I do
It ain't as easy as it looks
(Outro)
It ain't easy baby, no no
I tell you, oh now
He-he-heyy

The Skatalites are a Jamaican music group that played a major role in popularising ska, the first truly Jamaican music created by fusing boogie-woogie blues, rhythm and blues, jazz, mento, calypso, and African rhythms. They recorded many of their best known songs, including Guns of Navarone, in the period between 1964 and 1965, as well as played on records by Prince Buster and many other Jamaican artists.
