Chris D. Wildcat – Singer/Songwriter/Musician/Producer.
He was born in 1964 in Christiansfeld, Denmark, but later on he moved to Herning.
He’s been writing songs since 1974, and has released several records throughout the years, especially since 1985. He's been struttin' his stuff in various local bands from the late seventies until he decided to go solo in the late nineties.

In 1992, he performed on national television with 1.5 mill. spectators.
In 1997, his music was released in Germany, and in 2002 he signed a U.S. record deal.
In 2009 he played and recorded in Nashville,TN.

He's been performing in various countries, including Germany, Poland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, France, Sweden, U.K., Holland and in the U.S.A. (Memphis,TN - Nashville,TN - Bandera,TX - San Antonio,TX).
In 2010, he released "Rockin' Is My Business" - available as a digital download. In 2011, he released the sampler "Down At The Diner", with tracks that had surfaced on the internet since 1999.
Also in 2011 he released "Burning Out", a 4-track EP. (Also available as a download).
In 2014 came no less than 2 releases: "Get Well Soon" and "After I'm Gone".
In 2015: "Magic No More".

He's inspired by the 50's rockabilly and rock 'n' roll. But rock, jazz, folk, blues and country is also on the table. Some might call the music rhythmn 'n' blues.
Main instruments are vocals and guitars

Inspirational artists include Brian Setzer, Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, Marshall Crenshaw, Eddie Cochran, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Matchbox, Polecats, Rockats, Nine Below Zero, The Blues Band, The Boomtown Rats, etc.
He's got a huge admiration for Gene Vincent, and like him, Chris has experienced several traffic accidents. That's one of the reasons, he's adapted the 'Wildcat' nickname. Because like Gene, Chris suffers from severe leg problems.

By the way, the D. in the name stands for Dean, and was a joke by a fellow band mate in 'The Rebels' back in 1984. They had just seen the John Carpenter movie 'Christine', and the band mate afterwards called Chris the similar sounding 'Chris Dean'.

In 1985 the trio 'The Rebels' was recorded by the national danish radio broadcasting company (DR). Chris wrote the song 'My Sugaree', singing while playing stand-up drummer on a Gretsch set. (Inspired by Slim Jim Phantom). It was recorded live in Holstebro Hallen in Denmark, and it was the introduction of the 'Chris Dean Wildcat' name.
