IIndo-Canadian Architect-Musician Vandana Vishwas specializes in Sugam Sangeet, the light vocal genre of Indian music comprising song forms such as Bhajans, Ghazals and Geet.

Vandana was an All India Radio artist for ten years until she left India. During one of her All India Radio recording sessions, she was heard by renowned ghazal maestros Ustaad Ahmed and Mohammed Hussain who were impressed by her voice and shared with her the intricacies of ghazal singing.

Vandana has performed on the Indian national TV channel Doordarshan, at the prestigious Acharya Brihaspati Sammelan conducted by Sur Singar Samsad, Mumbai in 1993, the stage where many legendary Indian artists have performed early in their career. In Canada she has been featured at prestigious venues such as Toronto Harbourfront Centre, The Exhibition Place etc.

Her debut album, "Meera- The Lover…" based on legendary Indian poetess Meera Bai’s devotional love songs, was released on 11 October 2009 and has received world wide critical acclaim, rave reviews in North American press and was featured in the top 10 of the world music charts in diverse community FMs of north American radio stations following its release.

Vandana is associated with Sacred Arts & Music Alliance SAMA and within a short span has received widespread recognition. Here are a few:
