Make It Back Lyrics

I was blinded by you
I got lost in your eyes too afraid to find you
And too late to read the signs
To read the signsI was young and foolish
Didn't know how to love
Now I see the truth in
All that's left undoneNow I know that I need you
Only hope is just to see you
Scream your name through the silence
See your face in the distance'Cause I'm crawling and falling
Whatever I must do to make it back to youFeel you with me always
In everything I do
Now a day is dawning
We can make it through'Cause I know that I need you
Only hope is just to see you
Scream your name through the silence
See your face in the distance'Cause I'm crawling and falling
Whatever I must do to make it backPraying for a second try to be in your arms

Now that I have realized just who we are
You're the one who makes me feel aliveNow I know that I need you
Only hope is just to see you'Cause I know that I need you
Only hope is just to see you
Scream your name through the silence
See your face in the distanceNow I know that I need you
Only hope is just to see you
Scream your name through the silence
See your face in the distance'Cause I'm crawling and falling
Whatever I must do to make it back to you

A songwriter, guitarist and singer with a powerhouse voice that belies her years, Lesley Roy grew up in Balbriggan, County Dublin, Ireland. Her mother was a gigging singer, so Roy was exposed early to the life of a musician. She started playing guitar at the age of seven, finally getting her own guitar at 11 years old, and began writing songs. When she was 15, Roy started recording demos of her material with local producer and musician Rory O'Connor, and eventually signed a deal with Glenn Herlihy's independent Religion Music label.
