Make the World Go Away Lyrics

Make the world go away
And get it off my shoulders
Say the things you used to say
And make the world go awayDo you remember when you loved me
Before the world took me astray?
If you do, then forgive me
And make the world go awayMake the world go away
And get it off my shoulders
Say the things you used to say
And make the world go awayI'm sorry if I hurt you
I'll make it up day by day
Just say you love me like you used to
And make the world go awayMake the world go away
And get it off my shoulders
Say the things you used to say
And make the world go awaySay the things you used to say
And make the world go away

Early life Childhood & teen years
Charlotte Denise McClain was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1956. Originally named Charlotte, "Charly" was given her masculine moniker by neighborhood friends in Memphis, and she also used it when she started playing hotel lounges. When Epic Records decided it sounded catchier than Charlotte, it became a permanent professional banner. [1] McClain's father had tuberculosis when she was eight, and, since she was under age for visitation rights at the hospital, she had to communicate with him through a tape recorder. [2]
