Makes Good Sense Lyrics

I got places we can go, there will be no-one around
There's a bridge over the river at the edge of the town
Where there's nothing they can hear, there's nothing to see
Wanna help you make sense to meIf you're crawling through the window or locked in the house
I'll be over in a while and we'll figure it out
You got something you can do, you got nowhere to be
Wanna help you make sense to me'Cause I got a little time and I need to get a touch
And my heart's the kind of broken that won't take much
There's a time to be together, time to go free
And you make good sense to meWell, it ain't a real vacation but it's all that we got
I'll come out and we'll go swimming where the water is hot
Yeah, we'll live a little summer, you'd never believe
I can help you make sense to me'Cause I got a little time and I need to get a touch
And my heart's the kind of broken that won't take much
There's a time to be together, time to go free
And you make good sense to meReal good senseI can hear them through the bushes, they're chasing us out
And they'll never understand what our secret's about
See the promises I made may never come true

But I know I made sense to you'Cause I got a little time and I need to get a touch
And my heart's the kind of broken that won't take much
There's a time to be together, time to go free
And you make good sense to meYeah, I got a little time and I need to get a touch
And my heart's the kind of broken that won't take much
There's a time to be together, time to go free
And you make good sense to me
Yeah, you make good sense to me

The Elms were an American Rock And Roll band from Seymour, Indiana active from 2000-2010 under Sparrow/EMI Records and later Universal Records South. They were known for their breed of midwestern, rootsy rock, with the essence of the music of the 60's and 70's. Musically, the band has been compared by critics to The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Cream for their blues-tinged, instrumentally sparse arrangements.
