Marina Lyrics

Marina coming off of methadone
Kicking and dreaming
And she's sleeping and screaming
Watching '90210'
She'll be yelling at the screen
Until the late night show
"I don't believe I'm alive", she said
Everyday has something new
Aw, baby, with the moon I lie
And with the sun I will rise
It's all there in her eyes
You don't know how hard I try
Each time that Marina cries
It's like she's got no disguise
Stop
Marina is a human bicycle
She's riding in the park, riding after dark

Spinning her wheels to make a spark
And hoping to change her blame into a plague
She plays guitar, she dreams and sings
She writes a song about what it means
That she never feels
Much like a human being
It's all there in her eyes
Every time Marina cries
You don't know how hard I try
It's like she's got no disguise
You don't know how hard I try
Every time Marina cries

Tabletom was formed in 1976 by Roberto González a.k.a. "Rockberto" (vocals) and the Ramírez brothers: Pedro Ramírez, a.k.a. "Perico" (Guitar) and Jose Manuel Ramírez. a.k.a. "Pepillo" (wind instruments). Can be considered the most loved band of their town, Málaga (Spain). Their music mixes blues, rock, jazz, reagge and funk, with the singing of its genuine (yet not easy to listen to) vocalist. The lyrics talk about local lifestyle with lots of sense of humor and surrealism. Many of them are adaptated from poems of the local poet Juan Miguel González.
