Maybe Tomorrow Lyrics

A missing child, a mother too weak to stand
She cries her world turned upside down she sobs
"Where is my baby? A victim of apathyNo one regrets, no one regrets what they forget
Nobody feels pain that's not theirs, nobody feels anymoreWhile we count our losses we can see that
No one here claims a victory
Cries for help left unanswered are written down in the pages of historyNo one regrets, no one regrets what they forget
Nobody feels pain that's not theirs, nobody feels anymoreWhy can't we see this is reality?
Why can't we see, this happens everyday?
Why can't we see that we're a part of it?
Why can't we see it's what we are, it's what we've done? The problem here is clear, the helpless cries ring in our ears
An epidemic ever present claims victims with no names
I ask you how we can be content with what we see?
The tragedies that we've all seen, I know we'll see againWhy can't we see this is reality?
Why can't we see, this happens everyday?
It never goes away
Why can't we see that we're a part of it?
Look around you know we're part of it?
When will we see it's what we are, it's what we've done?

The Deviates were a punk rock band from South Bay California. They formed in the winter of 1994 when their members were in their mid-teens and slowly built a following in the South Bay where Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge got interested in them. The band's first album on Theologian Records label was produced by Dragge. They toured for three summers with the Vans Warped Tour before breaking up in 2004.
