Mechanical Heart Lyrics

Retrace the steps that led
To her cellophane head dress
And they were found, asphyxiated
In a pool of tears that followedRetrace the steps that led
To her cellophane head dress
And they were found, asphyxiated
In a pool of tears that followed
Breathe in, breathe out, light fadesAnd so they came discretion
(Suffering)
And all the secrets of the silent suffering
(So they stray)And so they stray possession
The murdering, the suffering
The silencing behind our wallsIn the script of blood
They state that this is their purpose
And they were found, asphyxiated
By all the words that were paintedKeep your children locked up
(Keep your children locked up)
The parents are what we wanted

(The parents are what we wanted)Well, they been trapped since you birthed them
(They been trapped since you birthed them)
Their parents are all we wantedAnd so they came discretion
(Suffering)
And all the secrets of the silent suffering
(So they stray)And so they stray possession
The murdering, the suffering
The silencing behind our wallsWhen did we say bring us to earth?
Please rape our adolescents
Please rape our adolescentsWhen did I say bring me to earth?
Please rape my adolescents
Please rape my adolescentsAnd so they came discretion
(Suffering)
And all the secrets of the silent suffering
(So they stray)And so they stray possession
The murdering, the suffering
The silencing behind our wallsSo child, close your eyes
And rest your head
Pain bleeds with slumberSo child, close your eyes
And rest your head
Pain bleeds with slumberSo child, close your eyes
And rest your head
Pain bleeds with slumberSo child, close your eyes
And rest your head
Pain bleeds with slumberSo child close your eyes

Born in 1985, Jon D grew up in South Norwood in a Christian bible-taught home, where his fascination with language was based upon the very book that has become such an area of hatred in the late 2000s. The extensive vocabulary, in addition with hymn structure and audience participation helped shape his earliest memories of music, and as he grew his interests sparked further afield.
"There are element of Christian referencing and my belief implemented into my lyrics, as evidenced in Breathe "I'll change your life like Jesus did Saul"...
