Medication Lyrics

Who am I trying to fool
As the night falls upon me?
Who am I trying to be
When this leads to nothing?I need some medication
I need your medication
These choices I've been making
They make me hate myselfAre you there?
How I long to be with you
Are you there?
Listening to my despairStanding right at the shore
Knowing life is so much more
I said what she wanted to hear
Pretending that my mind was clearIts a lieHow you wept, how you tried
But I never make the time
Here I go once again
Will this ever end?I need some medication
I need your medication
These choices I've been making

They make me hate myselfAre you there?
How I long to be with you
Are you there?
Listening to my despairStanding right at the shore
Knowing life is so much more
Said what she wanted to hear
Pretending that my mind was clearDon't make the call
Into the room
It's where I fallStanding right at the shore
Knowing life is so much more
I said what she wanted to hear
Pretending that my mind was clearLying, trying to stop this time, Ill stop this time
One step backward chasing after
A voice inside, a voice inside
That knows

Waking Ashland was formed in November 2003 by singer/keyboardist Jonathan Jones, guitarist Ryan Lallier and drummer Thomas Lee, all of which were at that time music majors at California State University, Northridge. Robert Teegarden — a friend of the band — temporarily helped out to fill the vacant position on the bass guitar. Their band name stems from the aspect of connecting people through music, paired with a reference to the town of Ashland, Oregon.
