Mercury Smile Lyrics

It's been all the same
The wasted words
The way I'm feeling strange
Colors gone the way
Of empty rooms
And leaning over daysLetterbox in TV frame
I let you in
You'd do the same
Credit photograph
And maybe I can
Laugh if off againI love your mercury smile
It keeps me outta line
I try to simplify
The complicated kind
I got an alibi
If you're so inclinedEverything is beautiful
I don't know why
It had to be this wayI recall the blame

The failing terms
The light revealing stain
A fabric starts to Frey
With every line
Of thought begins decayLetterbox in TV frame
No reaction to a claim
Credit photograph
It made me laugh
So I can start againFalling in disgrace
Listen to the laughter
What a terrible waste
I can hardly wait

Treble Charger was a Canadian rock group from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, formed in 1992. The band consists of vocalist Greig Nori, bassist Rosie Martin and drummer Trevor MacGregor. Guitarist Bill Priddle, a founding member of the band, left in 2003. They began with a melodic indie rock style, but have evolved into more of a pop punk band since signing to a major label in 1997. The band was originally named NC17 but had to change their name due to some dispute with a US band of the same name.
