Aaron Ells, the current alias of Newcastle based dubstep/electro producer Luke Elliott, has been churning out beats since he knew how to count and while age shouldn’t play a part in this equation it does to the extent that at the age of 19 he’s already filling the same clubs that wouldn’t let him in a couple of years previous. Following countless edits, re-edits, bedroom midi adaptations and a massive re-working of Foals’ Electric Bloom, Aaron Ells is currently making adventurous, forward thinking, yet ever dance floor ready, bass music. In the blog culture era, with so many recyclable productions, many producers are losing any sort of emotion in the search for that constantly sought after, ‘filthy drop’. While retaining that human element, Aaron Ells, loses none of the grit from his mechanised metallic bass lines creating fidgety floor stomping productions with plenty of feeling.
