Mexican Standoff Lyrics

Shifting my weight now from foot to foot
What did she see in this man?
I'm not superstitious but if I can get
This ball in the basket, then he'll wake up dead
Your sweet reassurances don't change the fact
That he's better looking than me
Yet he'd look ideal 'neath the wheels of a car
Oh, Mexican Standoff, I wish I was hard, yeah
Your sweet reassurances don't change the fact
That he's better looking than me
Yet he'd look ideal 'neath the wheels of a car
Oh, Mexican Standoff, I wish I was hard

Enjoy the lyrics !!!
Escaping from the jungle in 2003, the Jacknives have been swingin’ from vine to vine showing audiences all over Perth a rock and rolling good time. They brew up a simmerin concoction of sleazy, swingin’, swampy tunes that get the hips a-shakin’ and the living dead a-wakin’.

Drawing inspiration from bands such as the Cramps, Southern Culture on the Skids, The Runaways, Chuck Berry and the Reverend Horton Heat, the Jacknives throw it all in the cauldron, add a dash of blues, rockabilly, and punk rock and simmer on high. Mix it around a bit, add a twist of lemon and the Jacknives red hot dish of refreshingly original tunes is ready to serve.

The Jacknives have independently released 3 CDs and shared the stage with the likes of The Misfits, The Horrorpops, The Fireballs, Slim Jim Phantom (ex Stray Cats) and toured the East Coast with infamous cane-punkers 6ft Hick. The Jacknives sassy, unpredictable, high-octane live show is one not to be missed.

Catch these “stab you dead” swamp rockers serving up a tantalizing feast of raw rock and roll at a seedy dive near you.

The Jacknives latest EP, "Cannibal Love Affair" is available to purchase from 78 Records in Perth, Missing Link Records in Melbourne or by emailing [email protected]! Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
