Midnight Girl Lyrics

Saw you on a subway in New York City
Called across the platform but no you didn't hear me
you took my heart but never left my brain
you're headed up to Harlem on a uptown trainbefore that night, everything was
black and whiteAnd I wanna tell you right now
You're the kinda girl Ray was singing about
I know it sounds crazy.
Don't know how in this world
But I found my Midnight GirlYou're friends all wondering what I'm doing round here
I know their probably wishing that I just disappear
And I, know I hear them laughing when I'm out of the room
You can, tell them I ain't leaving anytime soon'cause you, know this Life, isn't so black and whiteAnd I wanna tell you right now
You're the kinda girl Ray was singing about
I know it sounds crazy.
Don't know how in this world
But I found my Midnight GirlThey all say we're from two different worlds
i'ma say we're a boy and a girl
Call me crazy but it's all the same to meAnd I wanna tell you right now

You're the kinda girl Ray was singing about
I know it sounds crazy.
Don't know how in this world
But I found my Midnight Girl
