Miles Away Lyrics

New moon peeking through
Now the sky is brand new
Feel it on my skin, is it night or noon?
It's been the blackest night for quite some time
Since my love left with that heart of mine
It kept on ticking, I don't know why(chorus)
Now this rock bottom hurt has a whole new feel
It feels like the moon since I saw you here
And the light that comes from your face
Brightens this place
Tell me who needs a sun when it goes away?
It sets on me every single day
Darlin' I'll get my light from a star who's miles awayIf I look too long will I lose my place?
I get caught staring into space
You see my dear there's much I'd like to erase
It's later now, my eye's adjust
Ooo what a pretty boy he was
Pretty is as pretty does(chorus) x 2

Enjoy the lyrics !!!
Corin Tucker (born November 9, 1972 ) is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist currently based in Portland, best known for her work with influential rock band Sleater-Kinney. In April 2010 Tucker announced she was recording a solo album for Kill Rock Stars to be released in October 2010.

Completing the Tucker band for first album is Unwound's Sara Lund and Golden Bears' Seth Lorinczi. According to Tucker, the album would be a "middle-aged mom record". The band's first album, 1,000 Years (2010), was released in October of 2010 on Kill Rock Stars to generally favorable reviews.

The band's second album "Kill My Blues", was released on September 18, 2012, with Mike Clark (of Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks) joining the band.

Of writing and recording the new album, Tucker notes that Kill My Blues was a group effort. “After the past two years playing together, traveling and making music, I think we’re more comfortable,” she says. “We collaborated on every song on this record and no one was shy about their ideas. I think you can hear that sense of joy and abandon in the songs.”
