Mine Tonite Lyrics

Another time, another place for you and me
Is that the way it has to be?
I can see it in your eyes, I can feel it inside
This is real, now we're right back where we startedStolen hours are all we ever know
It's so hard to let you go
And in the air that I breathe there's a chill when you leave
Don'tcha know one day will be foreverI don't care what's wrong or right
I only know you are mine tonite
And for a while we can hold on tight
That's all I know, you are mine toniteSimple answers we may never find
Tell your heart to give it time
Now there's a road if we dare, no one said love was fair
But one day, one day we'll be togetherI don't care what's wrong or right
I only know you are mine tonite
And for a while we can hold on tight
That's all I know, you are mine toniteOh oh, am I lost in this dream, I can't escape?
Oh oh, there must be some way outta here
But to live without you would be more than I can take

Billy Squier (born May 12, 1950, in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts) is a rock musician. Squier had a string of arena rock and power ballad hits in the 1980s. He is probably best known for the song "The Stroke" on his 1981 album release Don't Say No, which has been certified as Triple-Platinum by the RIAA. Other hits include "Lonely Is The Night", "Everybody Wants You", "Rock Me Tonite" and "In The Dark". Squier left the music industry in the mid-1990s, due in part to issues with his label. He has been active in the 2000s, touring both as a single artist and as a member of the 'Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band'. Before fronting the band titled in his name, Squire was the frontman of the power pop group Piper.
