Mo Better Lyrics

Even, even if I don't have much to my name
And through the ups and downs that come with fame in my life
You pat me on the back and rub away the pain
'Cause you're my baby, my darlin'Priceless, you're priceless
No dollar amount can buy the friendship you bring
You are the first lady worthy of a king, my queen
The moment I set eyes on you, I knew I would fallSee, life ain't so bad after all
You make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it, you make it betterYou make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it
I know your love gets more better, more better with timeLike a rainbow cutting through, take out the clouds
And you come around, girl and make me smile
It's a joy to hear you say, "Things will work out somehow"
'Cause you're my baby, my darlin'So promise, promise me and I'll promise you
Promise and I'll make a vow to, to you, girl
'Cause from the moment I set eyes on you

I knew that fairy tales come true, look at us, ladySee, life ain't so bad after all
You make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it, you make it betterYou make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it
I know your love gets more better, more better with timeNow, I know I'm kinda young but I got a old soul
So I'ma break it down for you for a moment
Tell you how much I appreciate you
When you whisper in my ear
"Baby, it will be okay", you make it betterRub my body down after a hard day's work, you make it better
Wakin' up to you in the morning, you make it better
Late in the midnight hour, you make it better
Now I could be the richest man on the earth and not have much at all
But we got somethin' priceless, babySee, life ain't so bad after all
You make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it, you make it betterYou make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it
I know your love gets more better, more better with timeOur love, it gets better with time
Your love gets better with time
Your love gets better with time
Even as a man I cry sometimesYou make it better
Some kind of special woman you are
To make it better, oh yeah
Make it better

Raheem DeVaughn's debut album was "The Love Experience;" his critically acclaimed follow-up was "Love Behind The Melody."

DeVaughn's musical story began with his mother's vinyl collection. "I always loved music so I would sneak into her record collection when she wasn't around and play her stuff." DeVaughn's father, noted jazz musician Abdul Wadud was also an influence. DeVaughn knew at an early age that he would become an entertainer.

DeVaughn graduated from High Point High School in Beltsville, Maryland; then headed to nearby Coppin State. It was the first day of college that changed the course of his life. "I saw a group of guys standing outside singing, Boyz II Men style," remembers DeVaughn. "I just went up there and started harmonizing with them. Before I knew what was going on, I was in a group, cutting class to write lyrics and record." After winning $2,000.00 in a talent show at Bar None, a Washington D.C. nightclub, DeVaughn decided to go for broke and invested all of his winnings into a CD burner. Several independent releases led to a showcase with [album]Jive Records[/album], and the career was on it's way.
