Money Changes Everything Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Money changes everythin'
Money changes everythin'
Money changes everythin'
Money changes everythin'Ever growin'
The dreams that we accumulated
Never knowin'
The demons that we created
Villains stole the spotlight
While love was waitin' in the wings
Left us with a long night

And a hunger for material thingsWhen it's gone, gone baby
And we're livin' with ourselves again
Will it dawn on us darlin'
That the love we had is worth more
Than we spendMoney changes everythin'
It'll turn your world around so fast
Money changes everythin'
Money
Money changes everythin'
No one questions how long it will last
Money changes everythin'Sorry baby
I was a stranger to myself sometimes
No excuses
The best intentions come tumblin' down
When it's gone, baby
Will it be the way it was before?
When it's gone, gone darlin'
Will we realize what the money was for?Money changes everythin'
It'll turn your world around so fast
Money changes everythin'
Money
Money changes everythin'
No one questions how long it will last
Money changes everythin'Love
Sweet love
Does it feel like it did?
Doesn't feel like it did
Love
Sweet love
Does it feel like it did?
I am sorry BabyMoney changes everythin'
It'll turn your world around so fast
Money changes everythin'
Money
Money changes everythin'
No one questions how long it will last
Money changes everythin'Love
Love
Does it feel like it did?
Doesn't feel like it did
Love
Dreams your
Does it feel like it did?
Doesn't feel like it did
Love
I am sorry Baby
Does it feel like it did?
How about the stranger?
Sorry, I love
Does it feel like it did?
Doesn't feel like it did?
Does it feel like it did?
Oh please
Love
Please please please
Does it feel like it did?
With the sayin' there
Didn't know
Didn't know myself
Love
Didn't know
Does it feel like it did?
Baby baby baby

His mother played songs by Frank Sinatra to him as a child, and he later became a fan of Motown and other R&B/soul music. He took piano lessons as a child, but he did not like them. He would skip the lessons and ride his bicycle across the bridge from his grandfather's farm over to the heart of the black "Chicken Hill" ghetto, where he could just listen and absorb the music.

In the 1960s, Hall attended Temple University, but did not graduate, preferring instead to spend his time singing on the street corners and play with various musicians and groups. At that time, Daryl Hohl (as he was called then) sang backup for different bands. He eventually changed his last name to Hall. Daryl Hall idolized the Temptations and began to perform session work as a singer. He first met John Oates at a band competition.

After John transferred to a different school, Daryl joined the band Gulliver, which released one eponymous album in 1969 before being dropped from their label.

Daryl is the host of the wildly popular online show entitled "Live From Daryl's House", where Daryl and the band collaborate with artists from various musical genres on the 15th of each month. The first episode aired in 2007, and it's still going strong. Best of all, it's free to watch.
