Monkey Lyrics

Hey little lady, got a cigarette to spare?
I like your high heels and the shade of your hair
I know a secret, do you promise not to tell?
I'll monkey on you baby, you got me in your spellI'm like a monkey up a tree
I'm like a monkey you will see
That I'll monkey on you, baby
Tell me that you'll monkey on meYou fancy drivin' to the house up by the moon
And I was made for lovin' and I'm lovin' you
You say you're a student, well understudy me
I'll monkey on you baby, it's easy can't you see?I'm like a monkey up a tree
I'm like a monkey you will see
That I'll monkey on you, baby
Tell me that you'll monkey onThose goody-good girl looks have bowled me over clean
Not exactly our love but then I'm not really keen
Imagine we're walkin' alone upon the sand
I'll monkey on you, baby, and I want to hold your handI'm like a monkey up a tree
I'm like a monkey you will see
That I'll monkey on you, baby

Tell me that you'll monkey on meGonna monkey on you
If you monkey on me
Gonna monkey on

Dr. Feelgood are a British pub rock band, formed in 1971. The classic line-up included Lee Brilleaux (b. 1953, d. 7 April 1994; vocals/harmonica), Wilko Johnson (b. John Wilkinson, 1947; guitar), John B. Sparks (b. 1953; bass) and John 'The Big Figure' Martin (drums). Initially based in Canvey Island, Essex, on the Thames estuary, Dr. Feelgood broke into the London circuit in 1974. Brilleaux's menacing personality complemented Johnson's propulsive, jerky stage manner, while the guitarist's staccato style dominated the group's idiosyncratic brand of angular rhythm and blues.
