More Than I Needed To Know Lyrics

You can tell me I won't fall apart
So just be honest and straight from the start
And it's so plain to me although the world may not see
Your smile's a disguise for the truth that's written in your heartEvery now and then I catch a glimpse of confusion within
And what I can't believe, you think that I'm so naive
To fall for that innocent look upon your face andYou don't let your feelings show
But your eyes told me more than I needed to know
Take those lies and let them go
'Cos your eyes told me more than I needed to knowI know that look so well and I can't wait for the story you'll tell
With a hint of a grin you'll just deny it again
Oh, when will you learn? You can't fool a fool like me andYou don't let your feelings show
But your eyes told me more than I needed to know
Take those lies and let them go
'Cos your eyes told me more than I needed to knowSurely you'll see you're not fooling me
The secrets out, there ain't no doubt
And what I can't believe, you think that I'm so naive
To fall for that innocent look upon your face andYou don't let your feelings show
But your eyes told me more than I needed to know

Take those lies and let them go
'Cos your eyes told me more than I needed to know

Scooch are a British pop band comprising Caroline Barnes, David Ducasse, Natalie Powers and Russ Spencer. They formed in 1999 after attending auditions for an "all-singing, all-dancing pop group". Signed to EMI-Parlophone, they created their image with manager Steve Crosby; the man behind Steps, and worked closely with well-established songwriters and producers Mike Stock and Matt Aitken. Scooch won a contest on the BBC Saturday Morning show Live & Kicking in 1999. They competed against a boyband to have their single released.
