More Than a Woman Lyrics

Girl I've known you very well
I've seen you growin' every day
I never really looked before
But now you take my breath awaySuddenly you're in my life
A part of every thing I do
You got me working day and night
Just tryin' to keep a hold on youHere in your arms I found my paradise
My only chance for happiness
And if I lose you now, I think I would die
Oh, say you'll always be my baby, we can make it shine
We can take forever just a minute at a timeYou are
More that a woman
More that a woman to me, baby
More than a woman
More than a woman to me
More than a womanThere are stories old and true
Of people so in love like you and me
And I can see myself

Let history repeat itselfReflecting how I feel for you
And thinkin' 'bout those people then
I know that in a thousand years
I'd fall in love with you againThis is the only way that we should fly
This is the only way to go
And if I lose your love, I know I would die
Oh, say you'll always be my baby, we can make it shine
We can take forever just a minute at a timeYou are
More that a woman
More that a woman to me
More than a woman
More than a woman to me
More than a womanMore that a woman
More that a woman to me
You are, more than a woman
More than a woman to meMore that a woman
More that a woman to me
You are, more than a woman
More than a woman to meMore that a woman
More that a woman to me
You are, more than a woman
More than a woman to me
More that a woman

The five-brother singing group Tavares may be best known for such up-tempo hits as the million-selling single "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel," "More Than a Woman," and "Whodunit," but they first came to national attention with the luscious ballad "Check It Out." Their crisp vocalizing and clean-cut, young-men-next-door image made them favorites on TV shows starring Johnny Carson, Mike Douglas, and Dick Clark's American Bandstand. In 1974, Tavares also had the first hit version (number one R&B) of "She's Gone" written by the then relative unknown duo of Daryl Hall and John Oates.
