Josh started composing music while in high school as a hobby. He picked up the trumpet at a young age but a lack of ability to play anything other than a single note at a time drove him to teach himself how to play the piano, which then led to composition (eventually).

Somewhere down the line, after graduating from college with a degree in East Asian Studies, he sat down one night with a cheap MIDI controller, a laptop, and some hearbreak, and plonked out a song. A few weeks later he did another one. Since then his sounds and song writing has evolved into something unique. He definitely has a sound and jumps back and forth between ambient and downtempo.
