Mr. Cool Lyrics

Here we are right now, my baby
Saw you standing in the crowd, just waitin'
For me to call you out and take this
To another level, baby
I feel it comin' on, I'm anxious
It's really catchin' on, contagious
Our eyes are having conversations
And I'm starting to lose my patience
Mr. Cool, hey baby, I'm open on everything you do
I wanna know, is this cool?
I'm sayin', "I like the way you move"
I wanna know, Mr. Cool
Hey baby, I've been tryin' to get it through, my lady
And you know that I want to go quit playin'
I'm trippin' on how long it's takin'
I want to get to know you better
There's so much we can do together, baby
Girl, don't make me wait forever

I'm feelin' like it's now or never, baby
Mr. Cool, my lady, I'm open on everything you do
And I feeling you, I wanna know, is this cool?
Oh, yes it is
I'm sayin', "I like the way you move" and I like you too
I wanna know, Mr. Cool
If you open up to me
Baby, then you will receive
Everything you'll ever need
Do you know what this could mean?
You should listen to your heart
Here and now is where it starts
Baby, come and talk to me
I wanna know, yeah
Mr. Cool, I'm open on everything you do
I wanna know, is this cool?
I'm sayin', "I like the way you move"
I wanna know
Mr. Cool, I'm open on everything you do
I wanna know, is this cool?
I'm sayin', "I like the way you move"
I wanna know Mr. Cool

A '70s soul/funk ensemble from the Windy City of Chicago, were the brainchildren of session musician Martin Dumas Jr.
Dumas formed the group, originally an eight-piece, out of fellow session regulars from the city during early 1970. They signed to the Cotillion label and released a self-titled album in 1971. For whatever reasons the band didn't stick together and gradually half of their members had left by the time they recorded their second album for Gemigo, a subsidiary of Curtis Mayfield's Curtom imprint.
