Music Speaks Louder Than Words Lyrics

Music speaks louder than words
It's the only thing that the whole world listens to
Music speaks louder than words
When you sing, people understandSometimes the love that you feel inside
Gets lost between your heart and your mind
And the words don't really say, the things you wanted them to
But then you feel in someone's song
What you'd been trying to say all along
And somehow with the magic of music the message comes throughMusic speaks louder than words
It's the only thing that the whole world listens to
Music speaks louder than words
When you sing, people understandThe longer I live the more
I find that people seldom take the time
To really get to know a stranger and make him a friend
But the power of a simple song can make everybody feel they belong
Maybe singin' and playin' can bring us together again
Singin' and playin' can bring us together againMusic speaks louder than words
It's the only thing that the whole world listens to

Music speaks louder than words
When you sing, people understandThat music speaks louder than wordsMusic speaks louder than words
It's the only thing that the whole world listens to
Music speaks louder than words
When you sing, people understand

The trio Peter, Paul and Mary (often PP&M) is an American musical group that was one of the most successful folk-singing groups of the 1960s. The trio comprises Peter Yarrow, Noel Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers. The group was created by manager Albert Grossman, who sought to create a folk "supergroup" by bringing together "a tall blonde (Travers), a funny guy (Stookey), and a good looking guy (Yarrow)." He launched the group in 1961, booking them into the Bitter End, a coffee house in New York City's Greenwich Village that was a favorite place to hear folk artists.
