My Favorite Headache Lyrics

One man standing on the plains of Abraham
Watching a damaged sunrise
One man standing near the edge of a quiet
BreakdownI watch the sea
It helps to anchor me
I watch the sea
It helps to anchor meOnce you start hiding, you keep on hiding
'Til your paranoia calms down
Once you start watching, you keep on watching
'Til you're tied up and you're spell-boundJust between the ice ages, anyway
I want to talk, but I haven't got too much to say
I don't mean to be so nihilistic
Forgive me if I seem to be too realisticOnce you start running, you keep on running
'Til your muscles start to break down
Once you start falling, you keep on falling
'Til you hit the cold, cold groundI watch TV
What do you want from me?
I watch TV

What do you want from me?Just between the ice ages, anyway
I want to talk, I haven't got enough to say
I don't mean to be so nihilistic
Forgive me if I seem to be too realisticOnce you start hiding, you keep on hiding
'Til you feel you're safe and sound
Once you start watching, you keep on watching
'Til you're tied up and you're spell-boundI watch the sea
It helps to anchor me
I watch the sea
I saw it on TV

Geddy Lee OC (born Gary Lee Weinrib, July 29, 1953) is a Canadian musician who is the vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the progressive rock group Rush. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Lee grew up as the son of Polish-Jewish parents who were survivors of Nazi concentration camps Dachau and Bergen-Belsen. Lee's stage name (and later legal name) "Geddy" was inspired by the heavily-accented pronunciation of his given first name "Gary" by his mother. In 2004, Canadian Jewish News would feature Lee's reflections upon her experiences and his own Jewish heritage.
