Dublin born Dave O'Grady lives in the musically vibrant City of Liverpool where he is a much admired and respected stalwart of the local acoustic scene. A long standing member of the Sense of Sound Choir, a regular summer mentor for the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and a sought after session guitarist/technician and teacher, Dave's journey along the Mersey Shores has been indelible.

Still aged only 23 Dave first picked up a Guitar aged 12 played his first live performance at 13 and has been playing ever since. Growing up within sight of the Guinness Factory in Dublin, Dave's Father, himself a local musician of some note, ensured his lad sampled many a heady draught from the musical well. From Creedence and Jeff Healey to Christy Moore, Steve Earle and Tom Waits. The effects of exposure to such a rich medley of influences permeate the fabric of every Dave O'Grady track.
Since embarking on the path he was born to tread he has shared the stage with such legends as Jon Bon Jovi, Seal, Russell Watson and Ringo Starr. 2011 saw him open for Marcus Bonfanti, Dave Sharp(The Alarm), Xander and The Peace Pirates and most recently Sandi Thom where he served as tour support for the majority of her UK shows.

O'Grady's debut EP 'Dirty Little Secret' is a musical tour de force.
Prepare if you will to have your heart melted, broken and re-animated in the space of 5 exceptional tracks. His unique style of musicianship harmoniously fuses Blues and Folk creating a most sympathetic sound, which when coupled with his haunting voice define him as an outstanding singer/songwriter.

Recorded and engineered at Spy Studios in Liverpool, the EP features backing vocals by Scottish songstress Sandi Thom who produced all 5 tracks. Mercury Music Prize nominee Mike Smith adds his considerable talents to the musical brew on keyboards with the bass and percussion supplied by Tom Cowley, John Bird and Chris Howard of The Cavern Club's resident band Xander and The Peace Pirates. With such a talented array of musicians on board, it is really no surprise this long awaited release is so passionately coveted by those already familiar with Dave's music and will no doubt charm and bewitch those who aren't.

Already described by one radio DJ as ''a breath of fresh air for the British music scene with lyrics that will linger for a lifetime and vocals that will soothe the soul."

At the moment he is a regular fixture on the bill at Liverpool's newly re-opened and legendary club Eric's on Mathew St.
2012 is off to a great start for Dave having been confirmed as European tour support for Black Crowe Rich Robinson. The tour kicks off in Oslo on 23rd January and finishes at the Islington O2 on the 16th February.
He will be playing alongside Rae Morris at Leaf in Liverpool on the 23rd February. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
