My Testimony Lyrics

My testimonyHear my prayer, ease my pain
Hear my prayer, oh, Lord, break these chains
Oh, Lord, help me to stand firm
And to inherit this loving earthHear my prayer, oh, Lord, ease my pain
Hear my prayer, break these chainsI really thought mine eyes are to the hills
From winds come at my help
My help coming from the Lord
That made Heaven and Earth, your testimony now my brotherI shall be at the tree that flaunts
By the river water
That bring a fruit in June season
Your testimony now brotherHis leaves although shall not wither
And whatsoever man shall prosper
We are dug here, not soMy testimony
My testimony
And my testimony

The Ethiopians are a reggae, rocksteady, and ska vocalgroup, founded by Leonard Dillon, Stephen Taylor and Aston Morris, that started recording for Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd in 1966. Leonard Dillon had previously released some mento songs under the name Jack Sparrow. Around late 1966 Aston Morris left the Ethiopians. Having left Coxsone the Ethiopians started recording at Dynamic Studios for the W.I.R.L.
