My Way Lyrics

(j. capehart/e. cochran)
(cross music ltd.)Well listen pretty baby
Let's go out tonight
Tell your mama not to worry
Everything's gonna be alrightDon't let me hear you talking
Just be there when I call
'cause I do I do my way
Or it won't be done at allLittle girl
Better hear what I say
I'm an easygoing guy
But I always gotta have my wayI was born a tiger, I've always had my way
Nothing's gonna change me on this or any day
Don´t let me hear you argue when I say walk or jump
A woman ain't been born yet that can play me for a chumpLittle girl
Better hear what I say
I'm an easygoing guy
But I always gotta have my wayDon't ask me for a reason
Don't even wonder why

I'll walk away and leave you
I don't wanna see you cryI've done a lot of planning
I´ve got lotta things to do
So don't give me no trouble
Or me and you are throughLittle girl
Better hear what I say
I'm an easygoing guy
But I always gotta have my wayI'm an easygoing guy
But I always gotta have my way
But I always gotta have my way

Dr. Feelgood are a British pub rock band, formed in 1971. The classic line-up included Lee Brilleaux (b. 1953, d. 7 April 1994; vocals/harmonica), Wilko Johnson (b. John Wilkinson, 1947; guitar), John B. Sparks (b. 1953; bass) and John 'The Big Figure' Martin (drums). Initially based in Canvey Island, Essex, on the Thames estuary, Dr. Feelgood broke into the London circuit in 1974. Brilleaux's menacing personality complemented Johnson's propulsive, jerky stage manner, while the guitarist's staccato style dominated the group's idiosyncratic brand of angular rhythm and blues.
